To all Parents: The Mastodon State Fair, the largest Art/Science Fair in the USA, is now accepting applications for a science project. To particpate in this great event, you must complete an entry form by Feburary 11,2008 by 11:59 p.m. The Mastodon Art/Science Fair is March 15th thru Marth 18th. The projects for St. Anthony's Science Fair will be due March 4, 2008. A student can be able to participate in both science fairs. If you complete the necessary entry form for the Mastodon Fair. Nathaniel S. for winning 2nd place at Mastodon ART/SCIENCE Fair for Engineering. The biggest Science Fair in the Country.

Aaron S. for winning 2nd place at Mastodon ART/SCIENCE Fair for Earth and Science.

Nathaniel S. won a trophy for Humorous at the BELLARMINE Speech Meet at CBC.

Cassie D. won a Blue Ribbon for Serious at the BELLARMINE Speech Meet at CBC.

Kylee and Jarrid H. won a Blue Ribbon for Humorous,duet, at the BELLARMINE Speech Meet at CBC.

Congratulations to Mrs.Maddock ,all teachers and parents for the coaching of a winning team.

 

Wonderful News:

According to the Iowa tests and the Lexile Levels (the level that the students are reading on) the following information
was determined based on 48 students (Kindergarten and one student who was absent during testing were not included)

90% are reading on level or above

71% are reading one or more grade levels above their grade

52% are reading two or more grade levels above their grade

23% are reading three or more grade levels above their grade

Congratulations to our Parents and Certified Instructors that help guide our children at St. Anthony.

 

St. Anthony's Speech Team

Congratulations to our Speech Team. Their first meet was on November 10th.

Nathaniel S. received a gold ribbon, blue ribbons were Blake N. , Cassie D. , Carlye and Mackie C. and the duet of Andrea B. and Kylee H and Jarrid H. received a red ribbon.

Computer Lab:

Our Computer Lab committee will start meeting in January. Please contact Ms. Kohn for more information. We hope to schedule the meeting on Sundays for one hour from noon to 1 p.m. (tentatively)
